Coronavirus Update

UPDATE: CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)

BridgePoint has gone back to meeting inside our building, with the following caveats:

  • We will host services in the sanctuary but will rope off every other row to assist with social distancing.
  • In keeping with the Governor’s Executive Order, we will only use 50% of the capacity of each room used.
  • In keeping with the Governor’s Executive Order, masks are encouraged but left open to the discernment of each congregant.
  • Family units may sit together, but all others are encouraged to sit six feet apart.
  • We will prop open as many doors as possible and keep them propped open so as to avoid unnecessary contact with door haandles.
  • Services will be kept to a minimal length.
  • KidPoint will be on hiatus until further notice is given.
  • In its place, we will provide a video lesson the children before the sermon each Sunday (both in-service and online).
  • Touchless hand sanitizer dispensers will be placed throughout the building.
  • The Fellowship Hall will be used as an overflow room for those unable to fit in the sanctuary (or who would simply prefer more spacing). The service will be streamed on a large TV and chairs will be spaced appropriately.
  • The JumpOut Room will be used as an overflow room for those at higher risk, and the use of masks and social distancing will be required in this area.
  • The KidPoint Toddler Room will be used as an overflow room for parents with children who need a break from sitting still or being in the service. The service will be streamed on a television in this room. Maximum capacity will be 50 percent of the room’s actual capacity.
  • The Family Viewing Room will remain open for nursing mothers and their children, with a maximum of six adults at one time.
  • The Connection Cafe will only offer self-contained creamer and other additives to limit exposure.
  • Communion will also be self-contained and able to be picked up individually without the passing of any objects.
  • A physical offering can still be given on your way out of the sanctuary each Sunday by way of dropping off your offerings with one of the Ushers at the door. (Remember: You can always give online by going to bridgepoint.church/give!)
  • We will, of course, continue to live stream our services each Sunday morning on Facebook, YouTube and here on our website for those of you who would prefer to stay home and worship a while longer.

We will continue to d o our best to keep you safe, follow the directives of the government, and also to provide a comfortable space to worship. While we do know that some of you will choose to stay home and watch online for a bit longer for a variety of reasons, we would encourage you to use the online livestream a temporary replacement for physically meeting together and not a permanent one.

Thank you for your grace, understanding, patience and prayers and we do our best to continue to navigate through this truly uncharted territory.

If you have feedback or questions at any time, please email us at hello@bridgepoint.church, and we will get back to you as soon as possible!
